Amy Spiteri, who goes by imaginate — inspired by the Maltese word “immaginazzjoni” (imagination) — is a visual artist (2002) based in Malta. A graduate of the University of Malta with a BFA in Digital Arts (2024), they work across painting, drawing, and videography, with cinema serving as their greatest influence. Through documenting life and shaping it into artistic films, their work often explores emotion, nostalgia, and the traces of memory, while also embracing playful moments of creation without a set direction. Driven by experimentation across mediums, Amy’s practice seeks to translate fleeting experiences into lasting visual stories.
